All,

On the 7Sage LR flowchart I cant figure out what “piece together the information” entails.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

So in the first box where it says “piece together” it’s asking you to make sense of the non-argument stimulus. The stimulus might be referencing a phenomenon or it might be a set of premises without a conclusion. The second “piece together” box is referring to the holistic piecing together of the argument as a question. You are considering the stimulus in relation to the question stem and anticipating directions for answer choices. You want to know what all of the parts of the argument represent before looking at the answer choices.

As a side note, I wouldn’t get too hung up on this flow chart. It’s a good overview of the process, but it’s not something that you’re going to need to memorize.
